How it works
Removed and refunded
Raff removes the server and returns your money when:- A step of the install failed and nobody was signed in to the server.
- The server could not start or continue the install.
- The server could not be created after you paid.
- Raff Guardian could not be installed on the server.
- You stopped the install with Stop install and delete server.
Kept for a person to check
Raff keeps the server instead when removing it could lose your work or when it cannot be sure what happened:- The install has not finished after 24 hours.
- The install stopped in a way that may have worked, such as a restart Raff did not ask for.
- Someone is or was signed in to the server during the install.
- Several installs failed at the same step within an hour.
- The Windows licence could not be activated.
- Raff cannot match the payment to the install.
When removing takes longer
Rarely, deleting the server takes longer than usual. The page then says “Removing the server is taking longer than usual. Our team has been told. Nothing more is charged.” Raff finishes the removal and returns the money. When to use it
- Try again opens the stack’s setup page so you can start a new install. Your earlier answers are not kept.
- If you delete a server Raff is checking, it is a normal delete: the unused part of its subscription comes back at once, and Raff still checks the install and contacts you.
Trade-offs and limits
- Refunds go to your Raff balance only.
- A server Raff removed is gone with its disks. Do not sign in and store anything on a server while it installs.
- Once an install is Installed, later problems are not install failures. They are handled like any other server problem: Raff Guardian warns you and you can contact support.
