Updated October 15, 2026 Deleting a Raff Keep server destroys the server and its disks and stops its subscription. What the delete button says, and what happens to your money, depends on where the install is.
Deleting a server cannot be undone. Copy anything you need off the server first, or take a snapshot in Compute.

Before you start

  • Permission to delete servers in the project (vm.delete).

Steps

1

Open the delete action

Open the server’s page under Keep, click the … button (More actions) next to Connect, and choose the delete action. On an installed server it is also on the Settings tab, under Server: Delete this server.
TODO: More actions menu with Delete stack and server
2

Confirm

The dialog repeats what happens. Click Delete, or Keep it to go back.

Verify

The status changes to Deleting, then Deleted once the server is gone: “The server is gone. This page stays as the record.” When you stopped an install, the status is Removing until Raff has removed the server and returned your money.

What happens to your money

  • Delete an installed server: the unused part of the server’s subscription goes back to your Raff balance. The Windows licence for the current period is not returned.
  • Stop an install: everything you paid for the order goes back to your Raff balance.
See Billing model.

Delete it from Compute

A Raff Keep server is also listed in Compute, and deleting it there works the same way. Reinstall and factory reset are not available for a Raff Keep server: “This server was set up by Raff Keep. Delete it and create it again.”
