Before you start
- A running PostgreSQL, MySQL, Valkey or ClickHouse database. Kafka keeps copies of every topic on its brokers instead of backups.
Take a backup now
Open the database, go to Backups and click Back up now. It appears in the list as Manual, first in progress, then ready.Restore a backup

Pick the backup
In Backups, find the backup by the time it was Taken and click Restore.

Choose where
- Into a new database (recommended): a new database on the same plan, named
<name>-restoredunless you choose a name. The original is untouched. The new database is billed like any other; on monthly billing it goes through checkout. - Overwrite this one: replaces the live data and takes the database offline for a few minutes. Raff takes a safety snapshot first. Type the database name to confirm.

Restore
Click Restore to new database or Restore in place. A new database is ready in about a minute.

Pick the moment
In Restore to a point in time, use Rewind to (20 minutes ago, 1 hour ago, Yesterday), the slider, or type a time in Restore to. Times are in your local time.

Choose where and restore
Choose Into a new database or Overwrite this one, then click Restore.
