Updated October 11, 2026 The Monitoring tab shows how the database is doing: charts for the last hour to the last week, the queries that take the most time, the server log and the activity on the database. Raff also emails you when a database goes down or fills up.

Before you start

  • A running database. Numbers appear about a minute after it starts.

Charts

Open the database and go to Monitoring, Charts.
  • Pick the window: 1h, 6h, 24h or 7d.
  • Tiles: slow queries, peak connections (direct and pooled for PostgreSQL), disk usage, memory and CPU.
  • Traffic by client (PostgreSQL, MySQL): which users send the most work.
  • Replication lag (high availability) and Archive lag (PostgreSQL backups).
The Overview tab shows the same numbers live under Health.

Slow queries

Go to Monitoring, Queries (Slow commands on Valkey). The list shows the statements that took the most total time, with how often they ran and their mean time: start there to decide what to index or rewrite. On PostgreSQL, turn on pg_stat_statements first: Settings, Extensions. See Turn on extensions.

Logs

Go to Monitoring, Logs for the newest lines of the server log. Show system adds the engine’s own background messages.

Activity

Monitoring, Activity lists what happened to the database (created, resized, backed up, public access changed, password rotated) and who did it. Export CSV downloads it.

Alerts by email

Raff emails the project when: See Status and health.
