Updated October 11, 2026 ChatGPT can use the Raff MCP server as a custom app. You add the server URL once, sign in with Raff, and ChatGPT can look at and manage your Raff databases.

Before you start

  • A Raff account.
  • A ChatGPT plan with custom MCP servers. OpenAI is changing which plans include them and whether write actions (creating or changing things) are allowed; check OpenAI’s guide for your plan. On Business, Enterprise and Edu, a workspace admin may need to allow custom apps first.

Steps

1

Add a custom MCP server

In ChatGPT, open the apps page, click + and choose Add custom MCP server.
2

Enter the Raff server

ChatGPT registers itself with Raff; you do not need a client ID or secret. Accept the warning about custom servers and create it.
3

Sign in with Raff

When ChatGPT asks you to connect, a Raff page opens: sign in, pick the account and click Allow access.
4

Ask ChatGPT

In a new chat, turn on the Raff app and ask: “List my Raff databases”.

What to expect

  • ChatGPT asks you to confirm every tool that is not read-only before it runs it. Paid changes also show a price quote first.
  • The Raff order card is drawn in Claude; ChatGPT shows the same quote as text.
  • If your plan allows only read access, use the read-only URL https://mcp.rafftechnologies.com/mcp?read_only=true so ChatGPT only sees tools it can use.
